Kelly Jenkins MHS, CCC-SLP/L is a private practitioner who provides clinic based services for oral motor, feeding, swallowing, and/or speech-language services for children and adults with diverse needs. She has worked with people who have various medical diagnoses such as Autism, Down Syndrome, Asperger’s Syndrome, Pervasive Developmental Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy, Selective Mutism, Neurological Apraxia, Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS), Cognitive Impairment, Aphasia, Dysphagia, Cortical Visual Impairment, mitochondrial disorder, rare chromosomal disorders, extreme prematurity, oral pharyngeal dysphagia, gastroesophageal reflux, chronic history of constipation, delayed gastric motility, Failure to Thrive, NG & G-tube feeders, tracheotomized patients (including Passy Muir Valve (PMV) use), voice disorders, Stuttering, Hearing Impairment, etc.
Kelly Jenkins MHS, CCC-SLP/L specializes in feeding & swallowing problems with children and adults with oral-pharyngeal dysphagia. She has worked with various diagnoses such as language delays/impairments, motor planning problems/Apraxia, low muscle tone, high muscle tone, voice disorders, articulation disorders, phonological processing disorders, hypernasality, hyponasality , etc.
She has been working with patients utilizing Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices in this ever evolving technology market (e.g., IPAD Touch Chat application).
Education and Credentials
Kelly Jenkins MHS,CCC-SLP/L completed a Masters of Health Science degree at Governors State University in University Park Illinois in December of 2003.
She did five internship rotations in five different community environments prior to finishing college for a period of 1 year in 2003. She did an Aural Rehabilitation rotation at a Middle-Junior High school, Audiological Assessment at an Audiologist/Ear Nose & Throat doctor’s office, Mental Health rotation at a special education school for children 0-5, a Hospital rotation at Community Hospital in Muenster Indiana primarily with adults including Modified Barium Swallow (MBS) study experience (inpatient and outpatient), and a High School rotation with kids aged 14-18.
She previously worked at Upward Foundation in Phoenix for her clinical fellowship year as a school based and outpatient speech language pathologist obtaining her Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC). She provided services in feeding/swallowing and language treatment for approximately one year in 2004 for children 0-18.
She worked for REM Arizona Rehabilitation as a subcontractor working for the Arizona Early Intervention Program (AZEIP) performing intakes, evaluations, and language/feeding treatment via AZEIP and/or with the Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) (2004-2008).
From 2004 & on Kelly Jenkins MHS, CCC-SLP worked as a sole proprietor until becoming Fusion Therapies PLLC in September of 2009.
Fusion Therapies PLLC contracts with the Department of Economic Security (DES) via two current contracts. Fusion Therapies PLLC does contract with the Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD). Fusion Therapies PLLC has third party liability (TPL)/private insurance contracts and also has private pay clients.
Fusion Therapies PLLC is currently contracted as an in-network provider with Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, United Healthcare, & Tricare.
